Introduction to Health and Social Care

Halo Southend is a pre employment support programme which aims to assist local people who are unemployed across Southend and who may or may not claim benefits. It aims to raise an awareness of the vast array of rewarding jobs in Health and Social Care and offer advice on how to get into this sector.

Southend City Council work with a number of partners and experts to deliver these programmes including the Job Centre Plus, Southend Adult Community College, Skills for Care and Mind. This offer is a unique “Introduction to Health and Social Care “ and is run as an online programme (which consists of a 5-6 week course) and those who are successful following an interview conducted by the Halo team, will be work ready. You will then receive a guarantee interview and support to enter employment with our local heath and care providers.
